Week 17

HONORS students are doing great with A Christmas Carol! I am loving our discussions and analysis of the Ghost descriptions. Students should be filling out their note packets as they read and should finish the book this week so they are ready for their final exam on the 17th and 18th! We spend a day reviewing and learning more about MLA format and citing our sources correctly in-text as well as at the end of a paper/essay. We also checked out Ender's Game, which is the required reading over the Winter Break.

CORE students just checked out and started reading Speak in class. We also spent time on MLA format and prepping with the info and skills they will need for their final exam; the handout we used is available in the sidebar.

All classes should be prepared for their 

FINAL EXAM

on DEC 17th and 18th in class. 

They will also turn in their JOURNALS, 

and HALL PASSES (extra credit) on this day. 

Week 15 & 16

HONORS: Students will be reading A Christmas Carol one stave at a time over hte next 2 weeks, and filling out their NOTES Packets. They can use these packets on their FINAL EXAM Dec 17 & 18th.

CORE: We have been discussing the hero's journey in class and are currently watching "Happy" a documentary which ties into our theme of journeys. We will also be reading some short stories and poetry to go along with this Unit which will all be used on the FINAL EXAM in 2.5 weeks.
