Week 22

Core B2:

  • Monday- Computer Lab, worked on Social Issue speeches, should have researches complete and at least 3 paragraphs of speech completed. Only one class period left to work on these at school so make sure you are using your time well!
  • Wednesday- Speak, reading and assignment # 3, Vocab Assignment #1 Due
  • Friday- Speak, reading & assignment #3
Honors B3:

  • Thursday and Friday we will check out our next book
    • B3: Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, start on the Term 3 Vocab assignment. 
    • A2: Romeo & Juliet by William Shakepeare
CORE: 

  • Tuesday will be spent in the computer lab working on Social Issue Speeches.
  • Thursday we will continue our reading of Speak. Students should be finished with Assignment 2 and start Assignment 3. We will also start on the Term 3 Vocab assignment.

Week 19

CORE:

  • Reading Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. We are currently on page 37. Students should be finished with Reading Questions- Assignment 1 and started on Assignment 2.
  • Studying Martin Luther Kings's "I Have A  Dream" Speech in depth, both in written and verbal form. Annotations, done in class, are DUE Jan 10.


HONORS:

  • Honors were welcomed back this week to a test on Ender's Game and a Writing Assignment (Due Tuesday Jan 14 for B day and Wednesday Jan 15 for A day). 
  • We will also be studying Martin Luther Kings's "I Have A  Dream" Speech in depth, both in written and verbal form. Annotations, done in class, are DUE Jan 10 (B3) &13 (A2). 
  • B3 also covered Maya Angelou's "Caged Bird" poem, with discussion, annotations, and analysis.
